David Crews

has been working as a television production director, editor, and digital artist for five decades, starting in broadcast stations in west Texas, then moving to commercial production houses and cable television production studios in Austin, Texas. He was Production Manager and Senior Producer-Director at Time Warner Cable for 24 years before starting CrewsCreative in 2007.

For over eleven years, David was also on the technical staff and served as an On-Air Host for KMFA, Austin's venerable and much loved all-classical radio station. He hosted a weekly drive-time request show and weekend afternoons including the Metropolitan Opera live broadcasts.

He is also a Filmmaker, having just completed his newest feature-length project, the multi-national award-winning documentary film, A Circle in the Desert.
CrewsCreative is now based in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

A master editor

David has worked in many roles. He has received a number of video, film, and music awards, including six Telly Awards, a Gold Addy, a Communicator Award, a Pixie animation award, and a Moondance Film Festival award. He serves on the Silver Telly Council as a judge for the international Telly Awards.

"I have deep experience with the creative 30 second television commercial and I've always enjoyed how one must write, edit, and design for that short window. The "30" is a sort of video haiku that requires true art to do well and to make truly effective, especially on a limited budget."
